About us
Newport Chess Club has a proud tradition of coaching and developing junior players over the years. Now for the first time we are opening a dedicated junior-only club for ages 10-18. Play against your friends, learn chess from our experienced volunteers and take your chess game to the next level.
The club will run every Tuesday between 6.30pm-7.30pm. The fun doesn't stop there though. At 7.30pm the adult club begins and any junior is welcome to stay as long as they like. Continue playing friendly games with both juniors and adult or test your mettle by playing competitively in the Shropshire league.
The club will meet every Tuesday evening 6.30pm to 7.30pm at the Royal British Legion, Newport, TF10 7DP
